My interest in science, particularly physics, was ignited in my 5th grade science class. Mr. Omar, our teacher, was explaining the solar system and the vastness of space. I vividly remember him saying, “Our solar system is part of a galaxy called the Milky Way, which is a collection of billions of stars, planets, and other objects all held together by gravity.” The notion that massive celestial bodies could be bound together without any physical connections, relying solely on this invisible force called gravity, astounded and fascinated my 11-year-old mind.

I am particularly passionate about the fundamental laws that govern the natural world, such as the laws of motion, thermodynamics, and electromagnetism. Applying the principles of physics to design and engineer practical solutions is immensely rewarding to me.

I am currently working towards earning both a bachelor’s degree in physics and mechanical engineering and a masters degree in mechanical engineering.

I have strongly considered the route of academia, however, the experiences I have had with the industry makes me eager to join after graduation. I am hoping to work for NASA as an engineer turned astronaut since astrophysics is one of my many interests in Physics., I am working towards earning my Level 2 certification in High Power Rocketry as I have achieved my Level 1 during my freshman year of college.
