My story
I always loved math and science and was extremely curious about how we can use mathematical principles to learn more about the world. I am mainly interested how physics helps us advance in energy, health, and education. But what I am most passionate about is how diverse physics is. I have so many opportunities open to me because of this universal science and it’s very exciting. After I receive my bachelor’s degree, I plan on going to graduate school to obtain my Ph.D. in Medical Physics.
This year I went to the APS Annual April Meeting, was able to present on my research, and was awarded as a top presenter! In my experimental nuclear program, we were able to upgrade the Forward Calorimeter detector at Jefferson Lab as well.
This scholarship was super important to me because I am now able to break the barriers that prevented me from pursuing my education to the fullest! It gave me more faith in myself that I can actually get my degree and pursue my dreams.
