'Diamonds are made under pressure' - my mom anytime I’m under some school related stress.
My mom and I would watch the stars together when I was little, and it made me want to learn more about what happens outside of our planet.
I’m most passionate about the variety of unanswered questions in astrophysics and being able to learn more about what goes on in the night sky.
My plans are to go into graduate school next year and pursue a PhD in astronomy or astrophysics. I’ve been doing research at MIT over the summer (and will continue through this fall) with Professor Erin Kara on black holes with an orbiting star and trying to find more of these systems!
