Jada Shorter

I became interested in physics during my junior year of high school when my physics teacher let us watch a video about string theory. The idea that there were people working to study whether everything was made up of strings fascinated me.

I plan to study patent and intellectual property law, working on the legal side of new innovations in the field of physics.

I recently finished a year abroad at the University of Oxford in Oxford, England. Now that I am back on campus, I am the president of college’s chapter of the Society of Physics Students!

Receiving this scholarship is important to me because it is helping me save to pursue further education in a field that I am passionate about.
