I wanted to deeply understand how things work, but my main inspiration came from watching “Hidden Figures” and seeing the endless capabilities of being in math and science fields as a Black woman.

I’m most passionate about learning as much as I can. There are so many specific topics in physics and astronomy that it can be almost overwhelming, but it inspires me instead.

I plan on going to graduate school. I’m not exactly set on where that will take me yet, but I know I don’t want to stop my education in physics.

I was recently elected president of my Society of Physics Students chapter. It feels very rewarding and I’m both excited and nervous to get started on planning some amazing events. At the moment I’m trying to prepare for the organization fair and get more people interested in physics and/or new STEM opportunities.
