Make sure preparation meets opportunity.
I am convinced that you do not pick careers, but rather, careers pick you. I am a physics major because I have a passion for understanding how the universe works and its origin. I am very interested in focusing on interstellar radiation caused by supernovae as well as neutron stars. I feel that if we can understand this, it can be a contribution to space travel, because radiation is one of the biggest problems, along with propulsion, that we face.
I have been privileged to work with four NASA astronauts on a project that is in the process of being published. To interact with them on the topics of space travel, Mars, and the problems of interstellar space travel and how to solve them is clearly one of the highlights I am so grateful for.
