‘Everything happens for a reason'. This phrase continues to motivate me during trying times and reminds me that tough times will not always last.

I became interested in astronomy specifically from Neil deGrasse Tyson’s “Cosmos” series and later his books on astrophysics. As time went on, I continued reading books on astrophysics—ranging from cosmology to string theory and differing multiverse theories. I chose astronomy and physics majors because I wanted to continue learning about these fields and make a career out of my knowledge.

I absolutely love multiverse theories. The idea that there are other universes—possibly created from the “other options” of our existence—is greatly fascinating. I would say I’m mostly passionate about the creation of our universe.

I plan on going to graduate school for my Ph.D. in something related to astrophysics, the early universe, and/or multiverse theories. After obtaining my Ph.D. I wish to either work for a space-based organization or become a research professor.

Currently I am working on a survey of stellar cores in the Serpens South filamentary cluster using the TolTEC camera on the Large Millimeter Telescope in Mexico. As of now, I have found 22 core candidates using ImSeg, a core detection utility created by professors Robert Gutermuth, Sarah Betti, and Amanda Lee.
